I know I’ve already shared a lot of this with you — and I really appreciate how open and thoughtful you’ve been throughout. Maybe I’m overthinking things now, but I wanted to take a moment to share the entire story behind this tattoo. Not because I want to cram all of it into the design — but because I want you to fully understand where it’s coming from emotionally, spiritually, and personally. That way, even if we go minimal and clean, the piece still carries everything in how it feels.
This tattoo is not just a design for me. It’s something I’ve been carrying inside for a long time. A quiet reminder of what I’ve survived, who I’ve become, and what I continue to hold on to — even when life gets heavy.
At the center of it all are my parents. They are my backbone. They raised me with deep love, strong values, and quiet strength. Everything I am — the way I think, the way I love, the way I carry myself — is rooted in what they gave me. Their love is unwavering, and the values they instilled in me are the foundation I stand on. No matter what path I walk in life, I know I’m never walking alone — because I carry them with me.
But this past year was the kind that leaves a permanent mark — emotionally, spiritually, even physically. I lost the woman I loved deeply — not because of anything we did wrong, but because of life, culture, and timing. She had to return to India, and the circumstances around us didn’t leave us a choice. That heartbreak was real. And at the same time, I was facing financial pressure and a future filled with uncertainty. It felt like life was testing me in every direction — my patience, my strength, my identity.
And still, I didn’t fall apart.
I stayed grounded. Because even when the ground beneath me shook, I believed in something greater — karma, blessings, and destiny. I don’t see setbacks as endings. I see them as redirections. Every time I was about to break, I leaned on that quiet voice inside — the one that said, “You’re still being guided.” That’s what got me through.
There’s also another side of me I’d love for the tattoo to reflect — maybe not literally, but in energy. I’ve always been drawn to poker — not just the game, but the mindset it teaches. Poker has shaped how I move through life. It’s taught me how to be calm under pressure, how to observe before reacting, how to read the room and people with intention. It’s taught me that you don’t always show your next move — and that life, like poker, is about playing your hand with strategy, patience, and presence. I carry that approach with me in everything — I listen more than I speak, I think ahead, and I trust my gut.
So what I want from this tattoo isn’t just a symbol — it’s a reflection of this duality inside me:

• And the focused, strategic mind who trusts instinct, plays the long game, and grows quietly, even in the dark
I don’t need the design to scream all of this. I want it to hold it — subtly, elegantly. I want to look at it every day and feel peace, pride, and power. I want it to be beautiful — not just to others, but to myself. Something that I’ll still connect with 20 years from now. Something that feels like me.

• Roots or a tree bending in wind: to reflect being grounded through chaos and still growing
• A small flame: not loud, but always burning — a quiet fire inside me
• A compass or guiding star: symbolizing faith in destiny, direction, and divine timing
• Subtle inclusion of Ganesha or Shiva: as spiritual protectors — Ganesha for removing obstacles, Shiva for transformation and balance
• A minimalist poker element: maybe a hidden symbol — something abstract that captures strategy, patience, and emotional control
• Blending of soft and sharp lines: to visually represent the coexistence of gentleness and strength in me
More than anything, I want the piece to be timeless, meaningful, and elegant. It should have a softness that reflects love and family, but also a sharpness that holds confidence and focus. I want to feel like I see myself in it — and love looking at it every time I do.
You said something earlier that really stayed with me: “It doesn’t have to say everything, it just has to feel like you.” That’s exactly what I’m hoping for.
